We have a habit of electing little known governors, Clinton and Carter come to mind, so I wouldn't sell Richardson short.

Actually, Paul, let me differ. The only one that could have been called "little known" when they went public with a campaign is Carter. Clinton was extremely well known because of his period as chairman of the DLC; and, of course, Richardson has had many administration positions including UN ambassador.

Carter simply came out of nowhere. Thanks to Richard Nixon.
