Wait a second. Gore blew it in 2000. Totally blew it. He should have won that election by a landslide. But he fell into every trap the GOP right set for him, including letting Nader claim the green vote, picking the disgusting Lieberman and conceding the election to Bush even though there was strong evidence he had been cheated. He even lost a debate with Bush.

That said, if Gore really wants to be president and really makes a strong case, this is his second chance. But if you support Gore for a second chance, then there is John Kerry who also deserves a second chance. It's just a matter of how badly they want it and how hard they are willing to work for it.

I see no others as qualified to be president as Gore and Kerry. In fact, Gore should have picked Kerry as his running mate in 2000. Those two are the best we have in terms of really being ready to be president. Both lost and were cheated by Bush. Both deserve the White House. Both are imperfect candidates but also highly qualified. But will both run? We'll see.
