Worldnetdaily, CNS and Newsmax are propaganda sites. They are not concerned with journalistic accuracy, they are in the business of smearing democrats (often with deliberate outright lies), misleading the public, perpetrating false myths and covering up the crimes and activities of the rightwing politicos.

All three joined in the totally dishonest smearing of John Kerry's combat record. All three tried to make it sound like Jack Abramoff was working with democrats when he worked 100% with rightwing Republicans. All three are guilty of massive coverups and false reporting about the Iraq War and War On Terror, basically parroting whatever Rove wanted them to. Basically, all three deliberately mislead.

If you want to post from honest conservative sites, do so, but Worldnetdaily is about on par with the latest Anne Coulter article. Propaganda sites like that have been damaging to our democracy and really don't care about dealing with reality. Along with Hannity, COulter and Limbaugh, they need to be turned off.

lorne, didn't Bush botch Iraq by turning it into a benign religious war? He would have had a successful outcome if he let this war remain as a "war against terrorism" instead of a "war against Islam."

Seems to me that you too changed ans started to view the Iraq war as it should be viewed instead of as a war against Islam.

Yes, stop posting we're at war against Islam. We're definitely not. In fact Osama and his followers are about as Muslim as Timothy McVeigh was christian. A lot of evil is done in the name of religion, but those who commit the evils always misinterpret their religions' lessons.

Extremists like these pervert their own religions by twisting the words and reading doom, gloom and hatred into their prophets words. I haven't read the Koran but I'm sure it doesn't tell Muslims to go kill innocent people. As the Bible doesn't tell people to blow up federal buildings, kill family planning personnel or threaten federal judges. And if if ancient books did say something akin to that, the world has changed a great deal in the past 2000+ years and the old words don't always apply.

Also, the more Americans demonize Islam the more of our brave troops are going to get killed by religious wackos over there.
The last thing our troops need is to be caught in the middle of some ridiculous holy war when they're trying to win hearts and minds.
