Sarmad, now I'm confused. In your previous post you challenged me to identify posts or posters who had claimed that "Intel didn't but AMD did violate antitrust laws." suggesting that there were no such posts. In this you wish me sanctioned for insulting the null set.

It seemed to me there was a lot of unwarranted chortling and moral superiority from certain parties about AMD facing a government investigation while Intel was not. As of yet I know of no allegation that AMD was involved directly in any questionable behavior. If ATI and nVidia colluded to increase prices for graphic cards, AMD was as much a victim as anyone and has already paid dearly (literally) for it. While it is fair to question the wisdom of the ATI acquisition at this point, it is simply baiting to attribute those actions to AMD.

Both the empty posts I was responding to and this silly tit for tat of whining to the moderator over imagined slights have made this board much less valuable. I tried to provide some substance to a discussion where it was sorely lacking and did not make any personal comments despite your demand that I do so. To the extent that individual posters feel they have contributed the sort of spurious posts I castigated, they should be embarrassed not I.

I will be happy to respond to any substantial questions about my post and antitrust (or industrial organization) questions generally. I am done with this particular discussion.
