I'm sorry to hear about your power outage. I've lived through a three day one, and it wasn't fun. We're way too dependent on our infrastructure. I now have a 7500 watt generator, but haven't rigged it for input into the house. Our power here is very reliable, at least as long as I've been here. In Juneau, I experienced power outages all the time. Sometimes they let us go home from work because all the computers were down.
