I forgot about the large difference in income and wealth. HK 34,000 per capita PRC 6,800 per capita What's the mainstream Hong Kong view of this ? What's your opinion of this, and the long term effects ?

American men don't tend to have mistresses in the sense of something approaching another wife. You don't need to buy the cow, just buy the milk. BTW, this is also true for Latino women. It's just not in their rational self interest to be treated like a machine (work-clean-cook-sex while the man lolls about) instead of a human being.
