longnshort, I thought we were talking about the infusion of disease on the main land of North America, and was not expecting that you were referring to the Caribbean Islands, or Mexico. I knew about the extinction of the Arawak Indians both by disease, and being used as slaves under the fist of Spanish gold diggers.

The Caribe Indians seem to have avoided some of that because of their war like attitude toward any other group of people.
