Excellent post. You raise a point I alluded to in my post to Mish. The fact of the matter is that the low rates in the rest of the G7 are supportive of low rates here, especially because US bonds are one of the most liquid instruments in the world. And until the global rate structure moves from 1.6% real rates to about 3-4% real rates, the party can cotinue.
