My fear too.... My fear is that while the US debates and fights itself about the war or lack there of, that we will see the beginning of the first nuclear war. To me, it is like watching two trains coming, feeling sure there will be a crash. Before the two confront each other, one of them buckles and explodes, because the other has sent a missile and hit the tracks right in front of the train. You're probably right about the leftist threads. Not only are most of them closed to discussion from the outside, but they didn't want different opinions anyway. I tried for a long time to engage some of them, but no....they just wanted to bash Bush. I always am hopeful that someday, people on that side of the aisle will discover they haven't been correct after all. But that hope has been fading quickly now.
