Finally I have learned to wait a few months after initial parts to begin to judge a performance node. You should consider process delays (especially fairly late in the game, like 65nm) and meager roadmap predictions (again, only 1 full 200 MHz speedgrade predicted by AMD for Q207, still lagging 90nm) as forward indicators. If you have the box idling or wordprocessing or surfing the net 99% of the time, CMW is less good, Well you've picked up AMD's latest marketing nonsense -- "we have lower idle power (because we can't claim anything else)" -- and only a week after they came up with it, too!
