We divided up my brother's personal property last Sunday. He was a nomad, even though he made good money as a trauma nurse and flight nurse, he spent most of it travelling around the world.

But he did accumulate some nice gadgets.

Among them five very nice handguns. We got the Sig. I wanted the Glock, too, but there are nine heirs and seven of them wanted guns, so we drew numbers.

The Glock was his favorite. Can't remember the number (19P?), it is a 9mm but smallish, light for concealed carry. That's the gun he kept under his bed, the one he carried in his truck, the one he had extra clips for in another box so no trouble about concealed weapons charges in the car. Here you can carry a gun in your car as long as the bullets are kept separate.

But after we drew lots, I drew #3, but my husband, who was drawing for the boys, drew #6 and #7, and I knew Nick wanted the Sig, so I picked the Sig for Nick. Nick already has a 9mm.

BTW -- my brother didn't accumulate any gold.

He wanted Ben to have the 22 target pistol for some reason, but my youngest niece picked it. She is attending nursing school in New Orleans on a full boat scholarship but will have to work in NO for two years as part of the deal, so she needs a gun, and a 22 is the only thing that doesn't scare her.
