So how should AMD have demoed Barcelona? Run a Spec benchmark? Not very visual. Set up a room with 10,000 clients running transactions against it? Not practical. Run some proprietary test harness were you ask people to take it on faith that what they see is impressive? I can imagine what you would say about that. Task Manager is the only visual indication I can think of that neatly shows that all the cores are pulling their weight. So, please share with us what you would have considered a good demo for a multi-core server CPU.
