Also his lack of experience didn't keep him from being right about the war from the start, unlike most of the senators who ran or will run.

If experience gets us into a ruinous war then I say **** experience.

Hold on. Dems did not just win the election with Bush opposites, they won with fairly conservative centrists. Obama is from one of the few states that would even elect a black senator, as they did once before. Besides Massachusetts those are the only black senators in history. Two out of three from Illinois.

I understand the liberal wing of the Dem party wanting a non-centrist. They are itching for it. But they all need to take a deep breath and face the reality that blue states do not elect presidents, only a handful of swing states do, and those states are inhabited mainly by white moderate conservatives.

Also, Bush may be disgraced, but McCain and Romney are not. And McCain has great appeal to those same swiung voters we need to vote Democratic.
