When the marine said he wouldn't change a thing, referring to his experience in Iraq, I realized MSNBC was not using his interview as a "born on the 4th of July" propaganda piece. That network is slightly less skewed to the left than CNN.

The current screening for the volunteer military has certainly provided a fighting force consisting of "best in show" individuals.
During the interview, the marine said at the start of his tour he couldn't wait to feel the adrenalin rush as they got out there on the roads each day; however, after 9mos he admitted he was emotionally worn down. That's perfectly understandable and should be the military's length of tour guideline for those in highly intense positions like the former marine sniper.
P.S. Their parents are best in show Americans as well...God bless them all.
