Obama is being held to unrealistic high expectations.
Quite literally, many of these liberal writers are making him sound like a savior. Yet they all ignore one huge factor. He's black.

Let's talk turkey. If only one state in the union can bring itself to elect a black senator, then why would the entire country be expected to elect a black president? And I don't care how charismatic he is. Racism is alivce and well in America, though few white people would admit they're guilty of it. It's really a huge-huge issue.

Why not support Obama for VP and avoid a recipe for President McCain? What's the rush? Obama could be a two-term president in 2016 and help keep the GOP from the White House for 32 years.

To beat McCain you need a strong centrist white guy. Plus an Obama as VP would help, the frosting on the cake. Then everyone's happy. Except Hillary maybe. But she's the wrong choice anyway.
