I agree. How do we span the gap between people in this country?

I already answered that with a basic civics lesson. Elections deliver policy makers which (theoretically) implement the majority's wishes, then the next election does the same thing with successful policies staying in place and unsuccessful policies being removed.

The first place to start is getting a leader in place that is a unifier not a divider. Leaders make a difference. Bush has beena polarizer. We need a leader that listens to the best ideas from both sides of the isles and finds common ground. When it comes to oil independence, the economy, terrorism, and national security, there should be plenty of common ground. We just need to find it.

So step # 1, getting Bush out and a better leader in.
