That would be great... but I'm not holding my breath expecting ZERO earmarks going forward. Still... at least this starts us off with LESS FEDERAL SPENDING for 2007 then we would otherwise have had... and a whole lot fewer foolish small pork barrel projects. And, maybe, just maybe, some reforms (even something as simple as requiring the sponsoring member to PUT HIS NAME ON THE EARMARK, so the public can know who to yell at) to the earmarking process can develop.
