(Confounding the USA, and supporting the extremist Islamic types has a strong nationalistic political constituency in Pakistan. It's still the policy of at least 'elements' of their government and Intelligence and Military to prop-up the Taliban and Jihadists to use them as a cat's paw in advancing 'Pakistan's interests' fighting against the Afghanistan government and against the Indians in Kashmir.) In other words: don't hold your breath, it AIN'T gonna happen. (He's merely trying to pull the wool over our eyes and OUT-WAIT us while he continues to draw on our military and civilian foreign aid money....) Besides... he's already signed off on the 'peace treaty' for safe harbor for the Taliban and al Qaeda.
