When core2 duo benchmarks first came out It was obvious X2 would need a 400-500 Megahertz handicap to compete, it's unfortunate that even at 65 nm that continues to be the case

Neither unfortunate nor surprising. AMD has not made any arch changes from 90 to 65nm - yet.

To say it would continue to be the case is premature*, as arch changes are to come.

*I'd consider calling a statement premature a minor insult - although it is perfectly ad rem. But it has potential to hurt personal emotions nevertheless, which is all what it takes to be perceived as an insult. However, a board where you cannot call a duck a duck if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck is useless.

Rink, I really don't understand what your are targeting with suppressing people to exchange and share emotional content even if clearly marked OT and flood the board with regulation-votings, warnings and the like instead. I appreciate your work, and I am sure you are doing your very best. Just please don't use your talents to turn this place to a perfect hell on earth. I guess we have enough such places already.
