re: Yeah, pretty good example of how the marketing guys aren't markeging flourescents properly. Hey, I was one of those guys for a while! Frankly, at the point of sale, it's really hard to sell a product that costs 7x, even if people know it will save them long term. It's the "I'll do it next time, I'm tapped out right now" syndrome. It will be the same with solar when it gets competitive... people won't want to put down $12K today to save $20K in ten years (or whatever).
