Re:I notice you have not addressed the supporting arguments based on 65nm K8 power and frequency. Would you care to?

Yes. What we have is word of AMD roadmaps from reasonable
reliable sources that project:

(1) Quad core Servers to be introduced in Q2-2007 with 2.5 GHz
frequency at 120W

(2) Quad core high end Desktop and FX will arrive in Q3 with
2.7-2.9 GHz frequencies at 125W.

Considering that AMD sells 65W 90nm, 2.4GHz Dual Cores which
makes 130W for: Four cores, Two 128 bit DDR memory interfaces
and Six HT interfaces (2 active).

A 2.5 GHz Barcelona with four improved cores, One 128 bit DDR
memory interface, four HT interfaces (1 or 2 active) and one L3
cache should consume far less at 65nm with more mature steppings
so frequencies like 2.7-2.9 GHz seem just reasonable.

I wouldn't expect AMD to come up with overly speculative
roadmaps anyway. 2.6 GHZ 65 nm parts in December is better
as the originally projected 2.4 GHz. (This 2.6GHz part now
superseeds the promissed 90nm 2.6GHz 65W parts). The 3.0 GHz
90nm parts are shipped as promised for the FX version. The
AM2 version is just packaging.

These are my last words on this subject for now since there is
simply not more to say. Feel free to continue on the subject.
