Of course.. but why do I have to make ridiculous statements to get you to pay attention?>>

Facts tend to get my attention. And like I said in a previous post, who cares how they classify the war in iraq between the shi'a and the sunnis. What difference does that make?

Just for the sake of argument, when you say...<<Do we see armies from both sides fighting one another (ala: American Civil War)?? No.... If they classified civil war the way you do, then no matter what happens in Iraq they could never have a civil war because they don't have an army.

And here is one more...<<No.. we see violent acts (car/suicide bombings, kidnappings, and IED attacks, being committed by small cells of unknown terrorists>>...

A few quick thoughts on that statement you made. Are you insinuating that the iraqies are all marking time until this mess passes by why some terrorists are the only ones causing havoc in country? Or are you classifying any Iraqi who picks up arms as a terrorist? If that is true, how would you classify me if there were tanks and military vehicles from a foreign country rolling up and down my street and I took up arms against them?

The military leaders are classiying the war in Iraq as LIC? Are these the same ones who said we would be out of there in a few weeks to a few months? Same ones who said we would be greeted as liberators? Iraqi oil would pay for reconstruction? WTF would anyone believe much of anything they say?

I highly highly doubt any of us will live long enough to see the day where the invasion of Iraq turns out to be a good thing. But I understand that way of thinking. I never was for invading Iraq, but now that we did I'll say this. I bet if a regional war breaks out betwwen the sunnis and shia, that the world would look back on that event and see many favorable things that were spawned from it. Probably take most of a century, but I would bet on it.
