Consumers are doing just fine -- Chinese consumers, Indian consumers, even Canadians and Europeans although they have their own problems. Global demand is soaring even as the dollar tanks. Lots of Americans will party on as well as they invest in global supply and demand. But unemployed Americans are another story -- we will hire people to protect us from them and we will shoot them if they come to our part of town. We will retreat behind gated fences. We will make sure they stay in the "bad" part of town -- whole towns will become the bad part of town. Have you ever been to Brazil? No need to hurry, it is coming this way.
