Why do you say manipulation? The war effort in Iraq is not a success. The outcome, thus far, is no where near what we were repeatedly led to believe it would be. The WMDs we were assured were there, and that were deemed a threat to America, did not exist. Words emanating from the president have always been the opposite of the reality in Iraq. The mission is not accomplished, we are not making headway there, the Iraqis are not embracing our version of freedom. The president must take responsibility, but he does not. The best thing he's done so far is dumping Rumsfeld, which he did reluctantly. I just finished reading Woodward's State of Denial. I highly recommend it.
