It looks like a 2-way play: if T hits, they make gobs of money; if it bombs, they buy the company on the cheap. JMO

I've asked around to many people and no one knows or has heard of black bear. Maybe there's an explanation somewhere that makes sense.

Looks like bb has a big position and has been continually adding shares of ptie, 5.8M shares. And that appears to be it as far as 5% filings. Parent company is Eastbourne Capital and black bear looks like their offshore fund.
