He is exactly what this country needs. The proof is that the ones who know him best are the ones who are the most convinced. We haven't had enough of Obama already. Not even close...>> _____________ Yes, Others may be more qualified, but can they win the election? As wrong as it is we need someone that can beat the Republican. I have been as curious as the rest as to whether a black man could be elected, so I asked my husband to inquire if his stone quarry workmates (blue state rednecks) had ever heard of Obama. In fact they had and they liked him. Most of them would vote for him, but only one would vote for Hillary. Obama is smart enough to compensate for his lack of experience. Our country cant withstand another Republican presidency...>> ______________ <<...Gore has the best credentials and most preparation for the job, not to mention he's been able to show his personality more through his documentary and SNL performance. But remember, Lincoln only had 8 years in state legislature and 2 years in Congress when he was nominated for the presidency...>> _____________ <<...Hopefully we are electing a president who is a leader, who is intelligent, who is competent, who can eloquently gain the respect of the rest of the world. Obama fits that bill. Just about anyone walking down the street would be better than that incompetent pretender we have in office now...>> _____________ <<...This may be the time for the people to choose a leader, not a governor. It will take a leader to convince us to sacrifice for a greater good, and sacrifice will be needed. Who can inspire greatness of the average citizen? Can Hillary, or Joe Biden, or Al Gore? Senator Clinton can stay in the Senate where she'll have a powerful leadership position. Gov. Richardson could be in the cabinet, maybe Sec. of State. Al Gore would be a great asset in the new administration, but frankly, he let us down by bowing out after the fraud of 2000, thus ending his ability to lead and inspire. This isn't about winning an office, and pandering to the American people with 'thank you so much for this honor', or by cutting our taxes during wartime and insisting that 'we're still the greatest nation on earth'. History may record this next campaign for the Presidency, as the highest calling of our time and to succeed it'll be about bringing not just the United States, but also the world together. Toss the current administration under the bus, expose the CIA, shut down the Wall Street, K Street network. It's time to tell the American people the truth; they can handle it. We have good, qualified people to advise and administrate, but we're still just one person short. We need a great leader this time, and if that's Barack Obama, don't let it slip away....>> ______________________ <<...A president IS a personality. Given our experience over the last six years, I would happily take a highly intelligent and socially conscious person with NO political experience. The most important trait of a president is the intelligence and humility required to know that no single human being is up to the task of running this country....>> ______________________ <<...Al Gore is by far a better candidate all around than Richardson. Gore has so much more first hand knowledge of foreign and domestic affairs. And with his new found conviction and assertiveness without all the advisers and consultants he even sounds like Obama. Besides he won once and deserves to start his term after the creep that stole it leaves or is removed from office. But I love the idea of all these dems running for the highest office. Even the worst of them would be better than the war criminal that now darkens the halls of the white house. Gore/Obama 08...>>
