Have you checked QCOM's bottom line lately? < What is a QCOM TD-SCDMA (or for that matter, CDMA) patent worth?> It is $billions and growing. $10bn slush fund slopping over the gunwales. A LOT of people think the patents worth a LOT of money. TD-SCDMA royalties haven't started coming in yet [and since TD-SCDMA will be used only in China, and maybe not even there, the royalties from TD-SCDMA will probably be no more than for CDMA2000 in China].
