If I calculated exchange rates correctly that´s an about 2.5 times bigger deal for ASML than for Canon.

Taiwan's ProMOS buys machinery from ASML, Applied Materials, Canon Semiconductor

TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - ProMOS Technologies Inc (5387.TW) said it bought 45.07 mln eur worth of semiconductor machinery from Holland-based ASML Holding NV (Nachrichten/Aktienkurs), through its unit ASML Hong Kong Ltd, today.

The maker of dynamic random access memory chips said it also bought 15.75 mln usd worth of machinery from US-based Applied Materials Inc, (Nachrichten/Aktienkurs) through its unit Applied Materials Asia Pacific Ltd, today.

The chipmaker also bought 2.93 bln yen worth of machinery from Canon (Nachrichten) Semiconductor Equipment Taiwan Inc between Sept 5 and Dec 19, it added.

In today's trade, ProMOS closed unchanged at 14.00 twd.
