I am not talking about residential real estate owned by J6P but land owned for decades which has a cost basis of .0002 per acre, is completely rent free and for which one receives market rents for whatever improvements may be built. The ROI is phenomenal.

And the income from its mineral rights,, i.e., oil and gas

And its timber.

And, why not, whatever gold might be on it.

And the exhorbitant amounts paid for it if it's subject to a government taking.

The kind of returns one can make on a very long term basis, long enough to involve generations, are the best there are.

Ownership of these kinds of land holdings also create social prestige - I wish I could divulge what I found out in the last few days, but confidentiality prohibits it. I am talking about social and financial oligarchies spanning generations.

The social cachet leads to high level connections, which lead to more opportunities, which lead to even more wealth.

Naturally, one bad break will kill the dream. And I know only too well about this as my family in the late 1800s owned a great deal of downtown San Diego, but of course p***ed it away.

But there are enough families to which the one bad break rule does not apply, the ones which are truly visionary, who make their own luck, and they become phenomenally wealthy.

So tell Coconut to start buying land with her gold, and hold it for her kids, and their kids, etc.
