For centuries. But the planning doesn't involve Syria, Turkey and Iran. All three have to buy in or it won't happen. Ok, it might happen, but it won't last long.

The existence of Israel pretty much disproves the above sentence. If Israel can make it 60 years with no neighbors that want it there, Kurdistan can make it 600.

As I said before, we would have a situation very similar to Kashmir sandwiched in between Pakistan and India.
In That case maybe Turkey would have to acquire nukes to match Iran?
