Elroy, > If saving is a necessary part of being MC, relatively well off people often spend themselves down to lower class at Best Buy and the Toyota dealership, the poor lower class Mercedes driving slobs.

There was an episode of Sex and the City, where the main character, Carrie, is close to being bankrupt. Miranda, her friend, asks Carrie how many pairs of $400 shoes she has.

"Maybe about 100. But that's just $4,000!"

"No, that $40,000."

"OMG! I spent $40,000 on shoes and I have no place to live. I will literally be the old woman who lived in her shoes."

My wife drives a Toyota.
Actually she drives two of those, a Corolla in CA and a RAV4 in Europe.
Great for the dirt roads and hills in Italy.

Defines me as a poor man so you better change your mind, Elroy.
