The market caps and floats of the smaller uranium companies (meaning anything smaller that Cameco CCJ and one or two Australians) are small enough to be easily manipulated.

We have already heard that hedge funds are buying uranium, it is reasonable to expect they will have some fun with small stocks. They will likely bring along their analyst and media friends, too.

I would expect the hedge guys want to pick companies with good potential, push out negative information, and then load up on shares cheap. Sort of the reverse of pump and dump.
