Ignorance and stupidity are not traits that people are self aware of. Thus they can't avoid. They are stuck. Only massive basic education take o people away from that. People who are ignorant and stupid, live comfortable and happy lives not being aware of their status. When they see problems, they find comfort in religon and politics love them to keep them comfortable and happy in their stupidity since, in democracy, the stupid and ignorant counts the same as me and you.
