With the hedge guys in there, we could see many wild days, maybe as wild as tech stocks like Rambus / Yahoo / Amazon.
I expect we will get the Uranium version of Henry Blodgett - they guy who said Amazon could go to $ 300 when the stock was $ 150.

A pound of Uranium should sell for some x times the price of a bbl of oil ....

As for the Uranium metal buy side - maybe most of the operating utilities can't buy early, but the reactor builders (Areva, GE, Hitachi, etc.) can. I expect China to buy early, given they will build 200 reactors minimum, and they have a history of buying most metals early to get a stockpile at a relatively low price. Japan also stockpiled lots of coal in recent years. Buying uranium early is huge cost, so this might be a 2007 budget item for many orgnaizations. That would mean most real buying would be next year.

Should be fun.

been pretty quiet on this thread of late. FWIW I own the following and have added yesterday and today on weakness to DJE.V and STM.V. I also own URZ and NWI.TO though im not sure that ones much uranium at all. DJE.V is also a gas exploration play. I dont know much about uranium investing but but STM.v seems to have spent 20 years buying up prospects that would be econoimically viable at $30 so at high uranium prices it should be quite leveraged. I like the management at URZ and what the management has been doing at DJE.V. in total uranium stocks are now about 5.5% of my portfolio. oops another one i own a small amount of is YGI.V they are speculating for metals in argentina have staked a large land claim. edv.to is a supporter of them.
