Oh Stock, there you go again tossing out that bogus "up to one third..." jive which is extreme rhetoric in the utmost.

BUT, even so. Following right along in lockstep with Brinker the poor goobers and geezers (nothing personal) would have done just fine.

It fact they would have beat those pitiful misguided buy-and-hopers hands down. The Hon says that fact is irrelevant because he still lied and must therefore be castigated forever.

"Was Bob's QQQ call a great call? Of course not. It was an absolutely horrible call. But those who followed both the Jan. 2000 call AND the QQQ call came out all right."

That's true. Kirk estimated that the most aggressive commitment to the QQQ recommendation would have reduced Portfolio I by about 25%, and I think his methodology is reasonable.

That would reduce the reported gain for 12/31/1999 to 7/31/2006 from 67.6% to 25.7%. SPY with dividends included lost 4.2% during that same period.

Of course, we all know that you won't answer, because NO ONE said those things. You just made it all up!

Everyone would be a genius if they take mulligans on 40% of their portfolios (TEFQX/QQQs). Unfortunately they don't have brokerage statements you can send through the Brinker Triangle for the cleansing process. :)

Exactly.
