What if it was your job, in this country? And we were allowing millions of competitive workers in that would work for subsistence wages? So that your wages dropped to subsistence levels? How would you feel about illegal immigration?

I'd resent it, of course. That's not a solution.

And you talk of corporate profits. Don't most illegal immigrants work in small businesses? Restaurants, work with your hands labor, that sort of thing? I don't think MSFT has that many illegal workers.

In another post, you mentioned you didn't think immigration was that big an issue. I tend to disagree. I think its a sleeper issue because of the issue of race is intertwined with it. Americans are afraid they might be called racist if they take a strong stand. I think that will change over the next couple of years.

EDIT.Sorry....you were saying AA/race; not illegal immigration. My mistake.
