Talk about breeding: <His grandson, Kubilai Khan, who established the Yuan Dynasty in China, had 22 legitimate sons, and was reported to have added 30 virgins to his harem each year.>

It was one of the biggest empires ever. The British Empire did a lot better though, being based on concepts such as John Stuart Mill's. Maoris weren't killed and their women and land taken. They became part of the free world. Indians made a lot of progress during the British empire [but came to a screeching halt for half a century when they booted the British out - Mysore became and eyesore]. It's coming right now that they have let my capital and technology flow back in. Same with China.

The descendants of the violent are prone to want to wind back the clock to the days of conquest and theft, rather than creativity, production and mutual benefit.
