I think that sums it up.

If Obama wasn't black and his name was Smith, would anybody notice him? Of course, THAT would have cut out most of the good stuff from his speech.

The more visible Obama becomes the more scrutinized he will be. That means he's going to have to start articulating specific positions on various issues.

Hillary Clinton (with Bill as cheerleader) is one of the most astute and organized candidates that have EVER come down the line. Everybody I hear seems to assume that Obama would sweep the black vote, but I ain't so sure when Bill Clinton is campaigning.

Al Gore could be a MAJOR wild card here. He has no Iraq taint and he'd probably play a lot better in the South than he did in 2000.

So Obama's grandfather was a Muslim. That's a big problem. The rightwing can make a lot of hay with that, unless Obama's just the VP candidate.
