CWTR

>"Nobody believes it's a value play".

Let us see what other well-known value investors have to say whether or not that CWTR is a value play.

I agree that CWTR isn't a value play right now, but it's worth following. Given the volatility of retail stocks, there's a good chance that within the next 2 years it will be. That's certainly what happened with my last two retail buys, URBN and CHS.

My approach with retail stocks is to identify companies with strong franchises and pristine balance sheets, and then wait for the inevitable stumble that results in a good price. CWTR certainly fits my profile, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

BTW, while I'm not going to defend TMF's horrible marketing, they've got some good analysts over there who have made me money.

In the merchandising area I mentioned Clair's Stores a while back here at 23. It has since had a nice climb and the owners... two sisters whose parents started the company are looking to sell it.

I don't know what company might buy it but it is a world wide company that caters to the teeny boppers with jewelry and
other various boggles and bells.
