A lot of forestry land on the coast is being handed over whole to the tribes, full care and control, many a story is developing out of this already

I have no doubt about that....provincial and federal environmental statutes and standards will not be enforced, with the arguement being it becomes a federal matter once tribes have full care and control and no doubt the federal gov't will soon be asked to provide "environmental stewardship funds for replanting etc" by the tribes. Why should the BC gov't use funds set aside for replanting and the environment when those costs can be downloaded or passed onto Canadian tax payers eh;-).... Can natives cause more environmental destruction that the clear cutting for cash programs of the ND governments in BC? It is political hypocracy that the forest BC practise codes are much much more lax than the environmental statutes and policies which mining, exploration and oil and gas companies must follow.
