Russert, himself a hypocrite who wore a Republican campaign pin underneath his lapel, showed Newt to be the smarmy politico that he is. Dubya and his crew are soooooooooo bad that Newt realizes he looks good in comparison. He still expects to be President which is amazing hubris considering his contract on America has gone a long way into dividing the country and destroying the middle class which is the same thing as destroying the country.
