It's impossible for them to control the actions of millions of people

They can only move massive amounts of money around.

IMO all it would take is another spike in oil, a large hedge fund failure, or a major terrorist attack for them to fall from the high wire.

Only 130 points gain on the DOW within the last month. Not too much to show for it especially in the triple witching week.
