Air America have always been grossly under-funded since day one. They set up a business plan based on promised for 30 million or so, and the investors onily came through the 6 million. That is a recipe for disaster from the beginning. SO they amssed a lot of debts and have trouble serving those debts. And they couldn't buy their way on the air, it took them a year to even get on anywhere in the huge LA market. But now they are doing fine here. So far their programming is completely unaffected and they have major sponsors.

Clear Channel nixing Air America in three markets is suspicious. They are a conservative GOP company and they jettisoned Air America in two of the most liberal markets where I'm sure they have no problem finding listeners. That smacks of censorship.

In fact you'd better believe the rightwing-controlled radio business has tried to make it hard for AA to bring in from the beginning. It's like a rightwing mafia now. The rightwing was very sneaking about their grabbing of 95% of the radio airwaves in the 80's and 90's and now they don't want to let go or allow on any more honest viewpoints. It really is about censorship, and you should be ashamed for contributing to it. Imagine when in the most liberal cities the only radio talkshows are rightwingers most people disagree with or even hate.
