Yeah the kids are all excited about Christmas coming.

It really snuck up on us quickly with the extended football season distracting us, so.

We finally put up our tree this weekend and most of the decorations. Still have not sent out the cards.

So much to do.

I managed to buy wifie's gift yesterday and found two of the hard-to-get items on the kids' Santa List.

Dora The Explorer Talking Cash Register and some sort of computerized pen.

Jeesh. I wonder if it was this difficult for my parents. When I was a kid, I asked for generic things like a football, new mit, sled, or bike.

These days everything is so darn specific. These days if it looks like an Ipod but doesn't say Ipod, it is not wanted.

What a bunch of materialistic little monsters they/we have created. (As you can tell I'm still a little sour about the whole shopping experience.)

Otherwise I am looking forward to visiting the family on Long Island this coming Saturday. There are a few new additions to the clan who are fun to watch open presents. They often like the wrapping paper more than the gifts.
