Bad example. Microsoft has been offshoring it's development operations for years now. Four or five Indian engineers cost about the same as one American engineer.

He said corporations are reporting record profits, therefore they can afford to get rid of illegals and pay Americans the higher wages he thinks Americans should get paid. My point is that although corporations (as exemplified by MSFT) may be reporting record profits, the typical employer who is employing illegal immigrants (as expemplified by the meat packers) is not.

We're not talking about offshoring American jobs, we're talking about whether illegal immigrants iin the US should be allowed to continue doing what they are doing or not.
