"Mind you, I'm certainly no political and/or military whiz..." None of us are! We are just concerned Americans. As such, our views and opinions and observations are just as relevant as the wise men who run government. I hope we never reach the stage where the opinion of citizens who take the time to stay informed and try to understand the issues is deemed unimportant or not worth hearing! An observation...I am struck by the backlash against the Iraq Study Group report. I expected some blowback for obvious reasons, but it is stronger than I thought it would be. Charles Krauthammer wrote a column yesterday that was just blistering in its rejection of the report....while recognizing that it is just one group's view. Hot, hot, hot in his comdemnation. Well, Gates is sworn in so let's keep at eye on the Pentagon and see how the tone over there changes..if it does.
