Recommend this post to prevent further Posting Statistics on the AMD Moderating board. (Recommend the previous post to keep Magrathea's Weekly Posting Stats on the main AMD Moderated thread.) Reasons for this vote: OFF TRACK and MINOR INFRACTIONS RULE: #220184, #220584, containing the following text: I'd like to go back to the original intent of the rule 'you MUST be courteous to others', 'no insults', and 'no OT'. To do that I propose short suspensions for all relatively minor insults (less than direct personal insults see below), and for all OT, including all moderating related posts. This allows skipping the warning process that lead to even more OT. It's a practical means to get the board permanently back to on topic discussion. .... Over past few days Magrathea and I discussed whether the weekly Posting Stats violates this rule. They have some On Topic content, but we agree they have high Moderation content. To keep this board permanently on topic, I have moved all my moderating related posts to the OT site now, as was agreed per vote. The new rule covers the Posting Stats in the same way as my moderating related posts and hence shouldn’t be posted on the Mod thread anymore. Magrathea however cannot post to the OT thread. It's not that there are absolutely no other alternative options left, it's just that it would be most convenient him to keep posting the Posting Stats on the main Mod thread. Long story short, he requested this vote and I agreed to do it for him. Same procedure as this one applies to similar future exceptions to the rules. First request the exception/change, then I'll run a vote, and the board decides. I'm running the vote on the OT thread, because it's in line with the new rule (see above), and because it allows reactions to happen on the OT thread as well. Limit 50% of votes against (recommending this post) to prevent further Posting Statistics on the AMD Moderating board. The vote runs for 48 hours. Magrathea will keep posting the Weekly Posting Stats on the Mod thread until the results of the vote are in. Example of Magrathea's Weekly Posting Stats: Message 23097203 Regards, Rink

I certainly don't want to forbid the posting from the main board. OTOH it might be good to have it here. Those who don't want it on the main board would be satisfied, and those who like it could find it with less effort.

Rink, Why can't Magrathea send his data to you via private message??? I don't see why this data should be important to anyone but you from this point forward... Presenting this data on the moderated board simply invites commentary on the mod board. If you feel the data is pertinent in any way then, by all means, copy and paste it to the OT board... Scott
