Kerry never had money. His father was a foreign service guy, some kind of wise outdoorsman and military dare-devil, and his mother was from the poor side of the Forbes family. I know what it's like, I am related to a very rich person, but I get nothing. Neither did the Kerrys. When his parents died, John inherited $500,000. That was the value of the entire estate. That is nothing in today's world.

Howver Kerry had personal class, smarts, courage and drive. And yes charisma. Kerry is extremely charismatic. Just don't compare him to Clinton or Reagan.

The rightwing told a big fat lie portraying Kerry as some rich elitist. It's true his second wife is very rich. And a Republican. But he signed a pre-nup and gets none of her money. Nothing. Nada. Some golddigger, huh? I know I'd never do that. So it has to be love, and partnership. Behind every strong man is a stronger woman, they say. Plus she's pretty sexy. For her age. I've met her.
