If I were the US, I would cozy up to China and screw the rest of the world like they did with the G-7 countries post WWII. That would allow it to continue printing USD.

How the Japanese and Europeans will react to the pick pocketing that will follow is another matter. How about the Russians? And the South Koreans? It is not only 7 countries like it at the end of WWII, and that will make the accommodation of all interests more difficult.

What everyone wants it to be accommodated in some manner and the costs would be paid by Thais, Indonesians, Africans and Latin Americans. Those countries at the periphery should be worrying very much by now. If they don’t they will pay dearly.
