It might work out well for you, but for me I require that the company's financial health be good enough that there's 0% chance of going BK before February.

I look at the cash, and divide it by the cash burn rate, yielding a lower bound on the number of months a company will survive. I have to accept 12 months or I wouldn't find many candidates, but I won't accept something as short as one month.
